Unfortunatly for us we don't see Rocky run up the steps in this film, instead he tries starting a fight with loud-mouthed Clubber Lang during his retirement announcement.

Well it was there, then moved, then moved again, then in storage, now it's nearly there but not quite. The Rocky Statue after years of petitioning has now finally found it's way back to the Art Museum. It's not located at the top of the steps, but at the bottom of the steps to the right (as you approach the museum).

After filming Rocky 3, Sylvester Stallone donated the bronze Rocky statue to the city of Philadelphia leaving it at the top of the steps outside the art museum. The art museum complained calling it an eyesore and successfully lobbied it to be moved to outside the local sports stadium. However the 'Rocky Steps' get more people closer to the front doors of the Art Gallery than would normally go!
